經歷~
畢業於國立交通大學，於取得資訊工程博士學位後曾服務於國家高速網路與計算中心，擔任副研究員，目前於國立臺中教育大學資訊工程學系擔任教授兼系主任。
黃教授的主要研究領域包括平行與分散式計算、工作排程與資源配置、人工智慧、深度強化學習、時間序列資料分析與預測、雲端與服務運算，曾指導學生於不同年度的全國智慧製造大數據分析競賽中分別獲得銀獎與優等獎，以及國網盃應用程式效能優化競賽的金牌。
黃教授所提出的高效能計算即服務概念(HPC as a Service)，曾於2014年獲得高效能計算領域國際知名專業網站HPCwire專文報導介紹(http://www.hpcwire.com/2014/02/19/scheduling-hpc-service/)。
黃教授本身具有SROI認證初階規劃師的資格與PMP國際專案管理師的證照。
目前亦是社團法人國際專案管理學會台灣分會的現任監事。
Kuo-Chan Huang is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at National Taichung University of Education (NTUE), Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Chiao Tung University and previously served as an Associate Research Fellow at the National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC).
Prof. Huang’s research interests span parallel and distributed computing, job scheduling and resource allocation, artificial intelligence, deep reinforcement learning, time-series data analysis and prediction, and cloud and service computing. His research and mentorship have led his students to receive several national awards, including the Silver and Merit Awards in the National Smart Manufacturing Big Data Analytics Competition and the Gold Medal in the NCHC Application Performance Optimization Contest.
In 2014, Prof. Huang’s concept of High-Performance Computing as a Service (HPCaaS) was featured in HPCwire, a leading international publication in the field of high-performance computing(http://www.hpcwire.com/2014/02/19/scheduling-hpc-service/). Prof. Huang is also a certified Social Return on Investment (SROI) Level 1 Practitioner and a Project Management Professional (PMP). In addition, he currently serves as a Supervisor of the Project Management Institute Taiwan Chapter (PMI-TW), contributing to the promotion of professional project management practices in Taiwan’s academic and industrial communities.
