Career Paths – A Popular Topic Around Congress

Career Framework manager, John Roecker was on hand at congress to demonstrate the benefits of PMI’s new online career framework tool.

Our most recent salary survey found that most organisations lack career paths for project managers. In response to this, PMI developed a tool that provides the profession a spectrum of well-researched, generally accepted job descriptions. These descriptions are built from 107 skills and competencies into an easy-to-follow job ladder.

PMI’s career framework is available at no cost to PMI members, PMI credential-holders and to organisational users.

Those who missed the presentations or who are ready to get started either on behalf of themselves or their organization can access the tool at: PMI.org/CareerFramework.

Register Your PDUs!

Don’t forget one of the major benefits of attending PMI’s global congresses: obtaining Professional Development Units (PDUs)! Take the time now to register your PDUs and keep your Project Management Professional (PMP®) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMPSM) credential current.

To fulfill the requirements of the CCR program, PMP and PgMP credential holders must:

  1. Earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs)
  2. Report or verify 60 PDUs through the Online PDU Resources web page
  3. Renew. Once you have earned and reported your 60 PDUs, you will receive confirmation from PMI. You are then eligible to apply for credential renewal and remit the renewal fee to PMI.

If you have already reported your 60 PDUs, please remember to renew your credential by filling out and submitting the renewal form. Access the form online.
