United States-based PMI component officers are reminded
that copies of your component's tax filings must be sent to PMI for
inclusion in components' records. The annual tax filing deadline
with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) was Tuesday, 15 May 2007.
Please review the information found on the Component Leadership Online Community under
Resources-Finance Officers to ensure your component meets the IRS
guidelines. Tax filing documents can be sent to Component Relations
Coordinator Anne Jenemann.

| PMI calls for 2008 component mentors in 12 regions.
|
|
|
PMI is seeking skilled, experienced and knowledgeable
component leaders to serve as a component mentor for the 2008–2010
term in each of the following regions:
- Region 1 – (1) Northwest North America;
- Region 2 – (1) North Central North America;
- Region 3 – (1) Northeast North America;
- Region 5 – (1) Mid-Atlantic North America;
- Region 7 – (1) Southwest North America;
- Region 8 – (1) Western/Northern Europe;
- Region 9 – (1) Northeast Asia;
- Region 11 – (1) Western Asia;
- Region 12 – (1) Middle East;
- Region 13 – (1) North/Central Latin America;
- Region 14 – (1) Southeast North America &
Caribbean;
- Region 15 – (1) South East Asia
Position Overview A PMI component
mentor is a volunteer liaison between PMI and the component leaders.
This position provides advice, information and mentoring on
administration and organizational practices and policies to PMI
component leadership in their assigned region under the direction of
PMI Component & Community Relations. For specifics about
objectives and deliverables, reference the Component Mentor Program charter.
Skills & Qualifications:
- PMI member in good standing for a minimum of three
consecutive years.
- Minimum of five years professional experience.
- Must have served in an elected leadership role with
a PMI chapter, SIG or college in good standing.
- Attended at least two Leadership Institute Meetings
within past three years.
- Committed to life-long learning and a long-term
commitment to PMI.
- Possess strong communications, organization,
facilitation and leadership skills.
- May not concurrently hold an elected or volunteer
leadership position for any other PMI committee, component,
project, etc., if selected as mentor for that term.
- May hold honorary positions related to past
positions as chair/president.
- Have no conflict of interest with PMI (for further
information, please refer to the Conflict of Interest Questionnaire and Ethics
Certification document on PMI’s website.
- Sign Confidentiality Agreement, C&CR Code of
Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Statement upon acceptance of
role.

following validation of minimal requirements. Please note
