Job Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the jobholder is accountable for overseeing the Food Processing covering the Bakery manufacturing operation and Processing Center (Lettuce Plant). He/She ensures smooth operations, effective production, uninterrupted product supply, product quality, food safety and new product development in meeting customers’ expectation.
Key Result Areas
- Responsible for the Profit & Loss of Food Processing business.
- Ensure production efficiency, assured continuous supply, food safety, high quality and sanitation in day-to-day operation.
- Manage raw material supply in a high quality and cost effective manner.
- Deploy facilities, equipments and manpower resources to achieve pre-set performance and operational targets.
- Lead and develop the Food Processing operation team of HFS Taiwan
Major Accountabilities
- Operational Excellence
- ensure all daily manufacturing process is operated in compliance with ISO and GMP standards and statutory compliance of policies, procedures, practices, rules and regulations
- ensure safe, effective and efficient operation to achieve operational targets
- ensure the overall quality and food safety meeting customers’ requirements
- monitor the Bakery and PC process to? achieve target efficiency measurements (BEM/PEM)
- achieve outstanding results in regular HACCP / AIB? and other audits quality standards as requested by customers
- lead the team to seek for continuous improvement of efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness through best practice sharing and innovative mechanical line modification?
- ensure sanitation, safety and security at work
- manage the outsourcing manpower and tasks with a high quality and cost effective manner
- ensure the preventive maintenance program and repair works being well executed for all equipments and facility in Chunghwa site
- maximize the application of bakery system (Exact) to daily operation and ensure data integrity and efficiency
- Financial & Planning
- ensure cost competitiveness in operating expense and achieve targeted profitability
- monitor and approve operating expenses within authorized limit
- study and prepare proposal of PC / Bakery related capital expenditure projects and ensure effective implementation after approval
- prepare strategic plan and annual budget related to Food Processing division
- New Product development
- use existing bun line with minor line enhancement to develop more diversified products to meet customers’ needs
- adopt “process management” approach to expand our cut-vegetable varieties to customers
- manage new product development to support new business
- Organization & People Development
- ensure clear-defined job description for each position are in place in Food Processing organization
- building a successful team with good team spirit and open communication channels
- enhance team’s performance through sufficient people management skills in leading, motivating,? coaching, training, leveraging, sharing information and job enrichment
- develop and execute succession plans and personal development plans
- New Business Support
- Support business development to provide manufacturing management and quality assurance solutions to customers
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time
