PMI-TW Members, REP networking, On 25 July PMI Taiwan Chapter hosted a successful networking event for PMI-TW members and REP representatives. More than 140 attendees participated in the events and contributed to the dynamic and stimulating atmosphere. Since the beginning of the year, many of the more than 1,000 members of the PMI Taiwan Chapter have commented on how much they enjoy the networking opportunities provided by PMI Taiwan. During this networking event, PMI-Taiwan launched the authorized PMBOK traditional Chinese translation. The Chinese PMBOK aims to assist Chinese speaking project managers to better understand project management in their native tongue. PMBOK translators Dr Barry Hsiung and Dr CT Chou were in attendance at the July 25 event to sign the Chinese PMBOK. The long queues at the signing desks was a fair indication of the popularity of the Chinese PMBOK translation. The eight REP representatives who attended the networking event were all presented with a copy of the traditional Chinese PMBOK translation as a gift. The REP representatives were pleased with this platform that enabled them to interact with the PMP members and expressed their excitement at further cooperation with PMI-Taiwan Chapter. The July 25 event was also the platform for the official introduction of the IPMF (International Project Management Forum) 2007. Queenie Lu, Secretary General Taiwan Chapter, introduced the IPMF 2007 that will be held from 2 November to 4 November, 2007 in Taipei. More than 400 guests from all over the world are expected to participate in the IPMF 2007. In the final hour of the event, Dr. Barry Hsiung delivered an interesting presentation entitled " The Power and Politics in Your Project." The interactive presentation was a fitting end to a fantastic day.
