PMI-Taiwan 2006 Annual Member Plenary Conference & Board Election was held in style with solemnization. Dr. Barry Hsiung was reelected to be PMI-Taiwan!|s chapter president.
PMI Manager, Accreditation Programs Dr. Mike Price attended the conference and gave a presentation on.PMI Chairman Iain Fraser, Board of Director Dr. Yanping Chen, CEO Gregory Balestrero, Region 9 Mentor Saji K Madapat, Asia Pacific Service Centre Manager David Goh, PMI-HongKong President Patty Wong, PMI-Malaysia President Megat A. Zainuri, and Director of University of Sydney Chris Stevens has also sent their Letters of Congratulations to the conference. PMI-Taiwan had also presented the !y2006 Enterprise PMP Benchmarking Award!zto six companies including IBM-Taiwan, TSMC, HP-Taiwan, Trend Micro, Alcatel and Nokia-Taiwan to dedicate their success in holding the most PMPs in Taiwan and have demonstrated the value of project management to the organizations. |

PMI-Taiwan co-organized the International Project Management Forum 2006 in Hong Kong with GPAC and PMI-Hong Kong.Dr. Barry Hsiung, President; Dr. HT Chou, Vice President; Ms. Ivy Liu, Secretary General of PMI-Taiwan attended the conference with 3 other representatives from Taiwan.The Forum was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and attracted more than 270 delegants from over 10 countries.The Hong Kong government made the most of this professional event with media promotions and announcement. Ir Chai-Kwon Mak, Director of Highways from the Hong Kong Government presented as the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony and Ir Man-Ho Au JP, Director-General of Telecommunications from Office of the Telecommunications Authority at the closing ceremony made a great success of this event. |

Ms. Paquita Chang, Board Member and Ms. Ivy Liu, Secretary General of PMI-Taiwan attended 2006 PMI Leadership Meeting North America in Seattle.The Leadership Meeting attracted over 550 component leaders from 162 components and over 3000 delegates to attend the Global Congress.PMI-Taiwan representatives set up a Showcase to introduce and promote PMI-Taiwan in this global event and built up good connections and relationships with professionals from all over the world. |
