【課程簡介】

This 6-hour workshop focuses on managing change and the learning of various adaptation strategies in the increasingly complex and competitive Asian Mega Project Environment.

With the recent and sudden drop in price of oil, the strengthening of the US Dollar, the 2008 global financial crisis, the potential collapse of the EU, the rise of China as the new global economic power, high inflation rates, rapidly changing political scene and trends in the Southeast Asian region, project managers now face more ambiguity and complexity than ever before.

Implications and threats such as increasing cost of materials and commodities, higher project costs, merger and acquisitions, new expansions into developing countries, increasing competition for specialised labour and talents, speculative price increases, entry of cost-competitive China-based companies bidding for local projects and the potential change in political power, will demand the Project Managers of today to actively keep abreast of global political and economical developments in order to formulate strategies to mitigate risks.

In this highly interactive and engaging workshop, the speaker will be sharing his experience over the past few decades dealing with similar global political and economical changes throughout his career, while highlighting real-life stories and scenarios of how these challenges are managed via strategies that participants could use to their advantage.

研討重點針對亞洲地區持續複雜與競爭的專案環境中,管理變更與學習運用不同的適應性策略。

近年來,東南亞地區面對全球油價下滑、美金持續攀升、2008年全球金融危機、歐盟潛在性的瓦解、中國持續崛起成為全球經濟強權、高度通貨膨脹及政治環境快速變化等種種因素,專案經理所面對的比過去更為模糊與複雜,例如:物質與生活需求成本的提高、高專案成本、企業合併與獲得、對開發中國家的新擴張、人才與勞工高競爭力、不確定性的物價上升及政治勢力的潛在變化等因素,當前的專案經理為了規劃出適應性的策略以降低風險,須更積極地對全球政治與經濟現況保持高度敏感性。

在本次互動式的研討會中,講師將以過去面對相似的全球政治經濟問題分享個人獨到經驗,同時分享實際案例,使參與人員了解如何藉由有效策略,進行有效管理。

【講師介紹】Khor Soon Kheng (SK Khor)

KHOR SOON KHENG (SK) was the first Malaysian to be selected as the member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) Congress Bangkok 2006 Conference Organizing Committee and similarly the first Asian holding the position of PMI

Information Technology and Telecom Special Interest Group (5000 members) Asia Pacific Chair.

SK was the Contributing Editor to PMI PM Network Magazine (250 thousands circulation) and Adjunct Professor for College of Software University of Aeronautics & Astronautics,Beijing,China.

In the Project Management Training and consultancy services, SK has chalked in more than 10 years experience and successfully delivered more than 750 PMP®.
